My Vintage Models

Sadly, a great many of the old show horses from the 70's and '80's are being lost to the hobby. There are a group of us "Vintage Collectors" who are trying to save the history of the model horse hobby one little model at a time. Some of them are damaged beyond rescuing, some have been proudly "updated" changing the integrity of the original artist's work, and we fear that some folks are even stripping them to repaint again - we've seen them up on eBay advertised that way.

So here are a few of my vintage models. Some I have had since the '80's and some I have "rescued". Call it one of the back pastures scattered around the hobby where the old models go to retire.

*Kafar Ben Orr and *Kafar Daad

*Kafar Daad was my first Strowger repaint and *Kafar Ben Orr was my second, a custom order from Nancy in 1982. Both were champions in the early '80's.

Ben Orr was remade by Adren King, repainted by Nancy and haired by me.
